Hi

I’m Ana Velázquez,

physiotherapist, founder of CPAE and a lover of performing arts.

I started doing theatre when I was 8 years old, and this passion led me to study physiotherapy.

I combined my studies with multiple trainings in prevention of injuries, ergonomy and even emotional intelligence with the aim of assisting the artists in a very specific way that allowed them to improve their performance.

In 2009 I started to dream about creating a specialty within physiotherapy which was oriented to performing arts.

It was more than needed. Artists were crying out for it.

Today my dream is a reality… And I want that all physiotherapists who want to can become specialised in this very specific field which is so much needed.

Have a look at who will be your teachers

Each month you will receive your theoretical and practical material and exercises to solve. In addition, there will be a monthly session via Zoom to monitor your progress and answer your questions and doubts.

At the end of the course, a multiple-choice test must be taken.

The dates for this new edition of the Music Physiotherapy course are as follows:

From 2 October to 26 May for the online modality.
From 2 October to 3 August for the blended modality.

That is, 7 months online + 4 days of in-person practicum in Barcelona, from 31 July to 3 August, in Spanish.

In addition, you will receive the class schedule via Zoom as soon as you register for the course so that you can organise yourself in time to attend the live sessions.

At CPAE we’ve been doing in-person courses since 2009 and online specialisation courses since 2014. More than 200 physiotherapists (kinesiologists) have benefitted from them.

In the online course, all the practices are explained in full detail, we offer videos with all the steps and you can always ask our team for extra help if you have further questions.

While the in-person course is intensive, carried out in 80 hours But, in the online course you work alongside the teachers during 7 months, learning, practicing and improving, month by month.

This format allows you to practice what you’ve learnt in the lessons and to offer your improved service to your patients. This way, you’ll obtain real time feedback that you can later on share with us to make the most of your learning.

In 7 months more training is integrated and, if for some reason, you need more time, we can be flexible. If I choose the online version, will I still be able to go to Barcelona and do the practicum in the future?

Of course! All the online students can come at any time to do the in-person practicum in Barcelona. The practicum lasts 4 days and is done intensively. You will need to pay 400€ to book your spot, as the number of students admitted is quite limited.

No. It is not necessary.

We do recommend that you are familiar with instruments, that you learn how the instruments are held, their weight, your position when holding them and so on. But you don’t need to know how to play it at all.

Yes, you can. The course is designed for physiotherapists (kinesiologists) with a university degree. Whether they are graduates or undergraduates.

Since I started to create a specialty in the field of physiotherapy which was devoted to performing arts and music, my dream has always been to take this knowledge everywhere.

For this reason, we doon’t want the price of the training to be a problem for anyone. The course can therefore be paid in one or multiple payments during the 7 months.

If you choose the online modality, you can pay in one payment of in 7 monthly payments.

If you choose the blended modality, you can pay in one payment of in 7 monthly payments.

Moreover, you can choose different modalities of payment: paypal, bank transfer or credit card.
